Brian Faulkner
BSc (VetSci) Hons, BVM&S, MRCVS, MBA
Veterinary Surgeon and Owner

I grew up on a farm in Ireland and have loved working with animals for as long as I can remember. After graduating from Edinburgh Vet School, I worked for five years in a mixed practice in Leicestershire, then worked in fifteen practices as a locum, to broaden my experience, before deciding to settle in Suffolk. Since opening the practice we have had a daughter, Freya, and a son, Seth.

I look forward to getting to know you and your pets.

BSc (VetSci) Hons, BVM&S, MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon

I was born in Reykjavik, Iceland and have spent various periods of my life living on my native island, and in Scotland. Married to Justin, an engineer on North Sea oilrigs, we have a son, Ben, and a daughter, Katie. Our mischievous ginger cat named Henry came down with us from Scotland and we have since acquired Archie the escaping Border Terrier cross.

A friend of Brian, since we met on our first day at Edinburgh Vet School in October 1989, I joined the Melton practice in June 2003.

Tracey Bass
Receptionist

I have lived in the Melton area all my life. I am a mum to two boys and two bouncy Springer spaniels called Holly and Harley (an ex-sniffer dog). I joined the Melton practice in Sep 2004 as a receptionist. In what little free time I have, I enjoy reading (steamy novels!), walking and watching my sons play football.

I have lived and studied in the Woodbridge area my whole life and joined the practice in September 2006. I have two rabbits called Charlie and Leo. I am a loyal supporter of the Ipswich Witches Speedway team and in my spare time I enjoy reading, especially historical novels. I am looking forward to starting my Veterinary Nurse qualifications at college in September 2007.

After completing my BA (Hons) in Literature and Psychology I spent 3 years running a charity teaching project in Romania. I then travelled for a year before settling into 8 years of corporate roles mainly in London. Taking a radical change in career direction, I joined the practice in May 2007 and am looking forward to starting my Veterinary Nurse qualifications at college in September 2007. Since arriving at the practice I have already acquired a 10-year-old Border Collie called Holly who was in need of a new home.

Georgia Faulkner
Joint Owner

When Brian first opened the practice I was still working in management consultancy based in London. After the arrival of our daughter, Freya, I began to work part-time at the practice, taking on some of the administrative roles. Since the arrival of our son, Seth, I have carried on working at the practice (although in a somewhat ad hoc way!) trying to keep everyone on the straight and narrow.
